Please join Virginia Tech's Center for Humanities as we welcome E. Patrick Johnson, along with Sylvester Johnson, director of the Center for Humanities, for a live discussion of E. Patrick Johnson's award-winning documentary "Making Sweet Tea."

E. Patrick Johnson is the Dean of the School of Communication and Annenberg University Professor of Performance Studies and African American Studies at Northwestern University. A scholar and artist, E. Patrick Johnson performs nationally and internationally and has published widely in the areas of race, gender, sexuality and performance. He is the author of several books including "Sweet Tea: Black Gay Men of the South - An Oral History" and "Honeypot: Black Southern Women Who Love Women."
