Corps of Cadets silent formation

In honor of all those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, and to recognize the dedicated efforts of all the first responders who work so tirelessly for their communities, the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets will hold a silent formation on Upper Quad, between Pearson and New Cadet halls.
The Color Guard will raise the flag, and two buglers from the Highty-Tighties, the regimental band, will play Echo Taps. The Gregory Guard, the precision drill team, will perform a rifle salute.
Local first-responders will be in attendance. All are welcome to join the Corps of Cadets for this event, which will last no more than 20 minutes.
Those not in uniform should remove their hats and place their right hand over heart anytime the flag is raised or lowered.
