Extending the Harvest: Four Season Gardening
(Seminar/Conference)

With a little planning, you can enjoy and harvest from your garden all year long. Speaker Jennifer Seay is the owner and founder of Piedmont Nursery, a retail and wholesale nursery open by appointment in Markham, that offers a wide selection of native trees, shrubs and perennials. Piedmont Nursery also provides landscaping services including home landscape, reforestation, riparian buffers, wildlife habitat, and pollinator gardens. Jennifer will teach us about cold frames, hoop houses, and other season extenders that can further the scope and success of four season gardening. Learn how to time your sowing and planting so you can harvest a wide variety of crops in a longer growing season without a large investment in structures. Native plant sale to follow.
