Poets for Peace
Join us at the Hahn Horticulture Garden on Wed. April 10th from 7pm-10pm for Poets for Peace.
Poets for Peace is an amorphous nonhierarchical movement of creatives inspired to unite against the war machine. Topics expressed by performers include, but are not limited to, social justice, identity politics, eco-activism, LGBTQ+, etc. Basically the vibe the readings create is a safe space for us and audiences to meet, talk, vent our anger, our despair, and see each other, see our community and if we're lucky, find some hope. Peace isn't always peaceful, and it can be a heavy weight to carry. But through catharsis we all emerge lighter.
This installment will be fronted by Marian McLaughlin, Erin White, and Marshall James Kavanaugh. With additional performances by Molly Zabeth Graham, Matt Dhillon, Michael Giuseppi, and Lauren Malhotra.
