MA in Material Culture and Public Humanities Info Session
(Arts)
Considering graduate school? Interested in the MA in Material Culture and Public Humanities program at Virginia Tech? Come to a program info session on Monday, Oct. 15th, 10-11 AM in Lane 132. The MA is a cross-disciplinary degree that combines two emphases (public humanities and material culture) that share common intellectual issues, educational philosophies, and employment goals. The program's graduates interpret material culture (e.g., artifacts, landscapes, and the processes that create them) within informed historical/cultural frameworks. They are prepared for careers that engage communities with expressive culture, historical practice, and functional design in order to address current concerns and future needs. More information...
